The Sunday Reset: 5 High-Protein Meals I’m Making This Week

Right now, we’re in a season of transition. New state. New rhythms. New routines. And when life feels like it’s shifting, I’ve learned that the simplest way to feel grounded is to plan what’s coming out of my kitchen.

Protein has been a big focus for us lately — not in a restrictive way, but in a strength-building way. Food that fuels. Food that satisfies. Food that keeps everyone steady.

Here are the five high-protein meals I’m prepping or planning for this week’s Sunday Reset:

1. Balsamic Steak & Burrata Salad

This one feels elevated but effortless. Thinly sliced steak over peppery arugula, sweet tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

It’s high in protein, yes — but it also feels beautiful on the table. A reminder that nourishing food can still feel special.

2. Cottage Cheese & Spinach Egg Bake

Eggs blended with cottage cheese for extra protein, folded with sautéed spinach and sharp cheddar. It slices beautifully and reheats well — perfect for busy mornings or late afternoons when everyone’s hungry at once.

Comforting. Simple. Reliable.

3. Honey Mustard Salmon with Roasted Sweet Potatoes

This is one of those meals that tastes like you tried harder than you did.

A simple glaze of Dijon, honey, garlic, and lemon brushed over salmon, roasted until flaky. Paired with sweet potatoes, it’s balanced, filling, and full of flavor.

4. Creamy Chicken Orzo (High-Protein Version)

Tender chicken stirred into orzo with garlic, thyme, broth, parmesan, and a spoonful of Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream for an extra protein boost.

It’s cozy without being heavy — exactly what I want during a reset week.

5. Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken

This is my anchor.

Chicken breasts slow-cooked in bone broth with garlic and simple seasoning. I make a big batch and use it throughout the week in bowls, wraps, salads, and quick dinners.

Sometimes the most powerful reset isn’t a brand-new recipe — it’s building a base that makes the rest of the week easier.

Why I Focus on Protein During a Reset

When life feels full, protein keeps us steady.

It keeps energy consistent.
It keeps cravings calmer.
It keeps everyone at the table a little more satisfied.

This isn’t about dieting.
It’s about strength.
It’s about caring for the people sitting around your table — including yourself.

Resetting doesn’t mean reinventing your life.

From my table to yours 🤎
